Call for yourself, family members, friends or employees. Our 24-hour Help Line is the gateway to all our services. It is staffed by trained, non-judgmental advocates who know how to listen, offer support, provide information, help you assess your immediate needs, and help you make informed choices. We can connect you to other New Beginnings services or to resources in the community.
If you are being abused, we can assist in safety planning. If someone you know is being abused, we can help you communicate your support and provide information on services and other community resources.
In 2009, New Beginnings served over 7,000 callers on the 24-hour Help Line—people targeted by domestic violence, their friends, family members and employers. More than 53% were from Seattle or North King County. The rest were from neighboring areas, with a small percentage from out of state. Many callers were seeking emergency shelter for themselves and their children.
